Although since you’re not cooking it yourself so you can’t control the oils or ingredients used, breakfast can be relatively easy to eat low-carb. Get some eggs and protein and you’re good to go! As long as you can resist the temptation to grab all the danishes, muffins, bagels, donuts, etc that they usually have, you should be able to eat keto without issue. The only other thing is that I doubt they are using pasture-raised eggs and grass fed/grass-finished protein sources for their bacon, sausage, etc. But, when you’re not buying and you’re not home, you deal with what you’ve got, right? We were there 2 nights and luckily their switched up their breakfast slightly so it wasn’t the exact same thing both days. The first day they had these little pre-made “omelettes” with just cheese in them. The protein was bacon (which everyone loves haha). I got a couple cheese omelettes and some bacon and the great surprise was that next to their oatmeal station they had toppings and one of them was walnuts, which are a great low-carb but with a decent nutrient profile, so I got some of those, too. The omelettes ended up being quiet UNflavorful, needing salt and seasoning in general. I solved this problem by spreading Tabasco sauce on the omelette and then putting a layer of bacon on top and bottom of it and eating it like a sandwich. The second day they had scrambled eggs and a delicious sausage that I mixed together with Tabasco and salted – very much better than the first day! I did grab some walnuts again, too. Just water and black coffee to drink, of course.
